EVA interlayer film for laminated glass equipment
eva laminated glass film is the main raw material for making safety laminated glass, but whether it can successfully produce qualified safety laminated glass is closely related to many factors, such as equipment (lamination furnace), production process, glass and accessories, environmental and climatic conditions, employees' operating skills and work responsibility, etc.the quality of the film is only one of the constraints. Therefore, to make decoration and safety laminated glass, operators should learn to analyze comprehensive factors and master comprehensive production skills.
The following notices are made on the "use instructions" of the EVA laminated glass film in the actual application process:
1.About the use of eva film
(1)Before normal production, in order to ensure the quality of the product, be sure to carefully and carefully check the laminating equipment (vacuum system, heating system, control system)
(2)Due to the particularity and irresistibility of film production, it is recommended that users try to make a small glass sample before using each batch of film (it is recommended that the glass area of the sample is not less than 0.5m2)to conduct quality and After the identification of the hue is confirmed, it will be put into mass production after confirmation, so as to prevent major scrapping caused by the inconsistency of the large film with the sample; If the number of films of the same variety used in a batch is large (especially colored films), the finished glass should also be regularly compared and checked during the production process to see if there is quality errors (especially errors in hue) to prevent batch scrapping and reduce losses. For color film, we do not recommend using two different batches of the same film (with a longer interval) in the same order, which can easily cause color errors.
(3)In rainy days or when the ambient humidity of the workshop is greater than 65%, the film, silk, photo materials and glass will be affected by moisture and seriously affect the adhesion strength of the film. In the production of laminated sheets, the original glass that has been cleared or wiped in advance should be checked again. The water traces or traces of moisture on the glass must be wiped clean (the units with conditions are best to use a dryer). The material should also be dried, otherwise the laminated (strengthened) glass will be prone to bubbles and delamination within a short time. Therefore, it is recommended that customers try to avoid production in rainy days with high humidity.
(4)EVA films are inevitably subject to mild contamination during production or use, such as trace impurities on the film surface. It is recommended that customers install a set of fluorescent tubes under the lamination table to more clearly check whether there are impurities, stains and other imprints on the surface of the film. If you find some impurities or black spots on the film, you can use a knife to pick them off. If the hole in the transparent film is not more than half a grain of rice, it will not affect the normal use; if you find impurities on the surface of the film during the use of the film If there are more black spots, stop using it immediately. And promptly notify our company to deal with it accordingly. Production will inevitably cause unnecessary waste to both the supply and demand sides.
(5)When using insert materials (such as non-woven cotton, paper or plastic prints, natural fiber fabrics, etc.)The surface characteristics of these insert materials should be carefully understood in advance, because the surface of some insert materials has been coated or printed (printed),The surface layer treated in this way is possible to have chemical reaction with the EVA film and affect the adhesive strength of the film. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out test detection and aging treatment on these materials when using them, and do not produce them. Not all materials are suitable for lamination. At the same time, it is recommended to perform an appropriate drying treatment on these materials in advance to exclude trace moisture contained in these materials.
Practice has proved that laminated glass made of damp insert materials is prone to a small amount of bubbles and delamination after being placed for a period of time.
(6)Laminated glass is produced and processed using the principle of "simultaneous action of high temperature and pressure". Therefore, under the action of a certain temperature, the solid film will become a flowable melt.Under the action of pressure, it is easy to flow out of the outer edge of the glass; and the periphery of the glass is subjected to the greatest pressure, so the adhesive film around the periphery is most likely to flow out and reduce the thickness. Bubbles (delamination) phenomenon happened. Therefore, it is recommended that customers use the "peripheral fence technology" for production and processing, and the material of the fence should be slightly higher than the thickness of the glass. This method can reduce the excessive pressure on the glass periphery caused by the negative vacuum pressure during forming, and reduce the outflow of the film.
(7)Different varieties of glass or eva film should not be produced in the same furnace with the same process, otherwise it is difficult to ensure product quality.Normally the processing temperature of color film is slightly lower than that of transparent film; The processing temperature when processing thick film or thick glass products is slightly higher than the processing temperature of thin film and thin glass products; The processing temperature of silk product is slightly higher than that of single-layer film products; In the case that the temperature should not be too high, the method of "extending the holding time" can be used to achieve the effect of increasing the temperature. As for the appropriate setting of the processing temperature (holding time), it depends on the structure and heating power of the forming furnace, and is summed up by the guests in practice. The "one-pot cooking" that saves time will inevitably fail to ensure the quality of the product. It is recommended that customers put into production a new laminated product or use a new film and are not very clear about the processing technology, please contact us to reduce unnecessary loss and waste.
(8)The cooling time after the glass is formed is also very important. In theory, the faster the cooling speed of the transparent film, the better the transparency. However, if the temperature difference between hot and cold is too large after the glass is released from the furnace, it is very easy to cause cracking of the laminated glass or slight blistering around it.Therefore, in summer production, the ambient temperature is high, and high-power fans can be used to assist in cooling; while in winter production, the ambient temperature is low, and the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the furnace is large, so it is necessary to appropriately prolong the vacuum the natural cooling time inside and outside the furnace. It is appropriate to take out the glass when the temperature reaches about 50 degrees at a uniform speed.
(9)The formed laminated glass should not be edged immediately, otherwise it will affect the adhesive strength of the film (the periphery is easily delaminated). We recommend the method of edging the glass first and then laminate it.It can effectively prevent the phenomenon of surrounding water and bubbles. It is recommended to use a fine-grained grinding wheel for repeated multi-cycle edging,Coarse grinding wheel or large "knife bite" edging can easily cause brittle micro-cracks in the glass, resulting in damage to the glass periphery. For some insert materials with thick fibers that are easy to absorb water, it is recommended to grind the edges first and then laminate, because the exposed fiber materials are easy to absorb moisture during edge grinding, which will lead to the eva film delamination phenomenon.
2.About the sealant used for installation
In many application, safety laminated glass usually needs to be seamed with sealant.Practice has proved that some types of sealants will have adverse reactions to the EVA laminated glass film, causing delamination, bubbles or blackening around the laminated glass;Even some paints can have the above-mentioned adverse reactions to the eva film.
